News from the Secondary School – Academy of Maisha Mazuri

At our secondary school, the Academy of Maisha Mazuri (AMM), a special “open house” was recently held in the form of a tournament. In addition to the wide range of sports activities, we were able to inspire our guests with the unique opportunities our school offers. The students were thrilled by our facilities, from the computer lab to the bakery. The Secondary School’s profile is becoming increasingly distinct and is gaining popularity in the surrounding communities.

Eight external junior high schools participated in the tournament. Competitions were held in basketball, handball, and volleyball. Chess was also played.

The event was a great success, and we hope to have sparked the interest of many students so that they will transfer to our school for 10th grade.

In addition, the bakery was able to generate a decent profit that day. Overall, the school’s bakery project is progressing well. The students in the home economics class are working hard and actively participating, with the support of their new teacher, Ms. Lydia, and the baker. The products can be sold to the villagers again shortly.

Now, after their recent exams, our students are looking forward to three weeks of vacation before Term 3 of this school year begins in the fall.
