Exciting times at the Academy of Maisha Mazuri Senior Secondary School. A special highlight at the end of term 2 was the Prize Giving Day, which took place in mid-July.
For the team around principal Nicholas Lubisia, it was an honor to award those students who have distinguished themselves with good performance, special discipline or simply an exceptional sense of order regarding their dorm.
The celebrations were framed by a church service. In addition to the students, around 50 parents and several dozen former MCC graduates attended. Of course, our MCC Director Jimmy Kilonzi was also present.
The guests applauded nine top performances. The winners were each presented with a new school bag. As best student Purity Wanza received special recognition for her good exam results and was awarded a laptop.
The last time we had this prize giving tradition at the secondary school was in 2022. A grade of C+ or better also opens the door to university.
Prize Giving Day 2025 was a successful day for Maisha Mazuri Senior Secondary School.
