We would like to take this opportunity to wish everyone a happy, prosperous, and peaceful New Year and share the good news we have received from Kenya:
Six of our MCC children have completed junior secondary school with such good grades that they have gained admission to the most prestigious national schools for senior secondary education – we are extremely proud of them! These national schools have very high admission requirements, are highly regarded, and pave the way for further education. And it wasn’t just these six who did excellently; in general, our Grade 9 students performed very well compared to previous years! Our team has found suitable, very good senior secondary schools for all of them. Some have also chosen to focus on the subjects taught at our own Academy of Maisha Mazuri (AMM), and we are delighted to continue to have them close by. All of these young people will continue to be supported by our team, and we will remain in close contact, because our common goal remains for them to be able to lead self-determined and self-financed lives as adults.
And our Grade 12 – also known as form 4 – Senior Secondary students, who are pupils from the Academy of Maisha Mazuri, performed so well in the national Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KSCE) exams at the end of last year that five of our 30 graduates will be able to move on to university for further education. This is a first, and we are all – especially the teachers at AMM – proud and thankful that they were able to offer such good, structured preparation and that the students seized their opportunities! Now the search for the right vocational training for all our graduates begins. Our team is committed to providing everyone with the best possible support and finding the right fit for all strengths and needs. We would like to congratulate all our graduates from the bottom of our hearts!
This shows us that we are on the right track with our mission to prepare children for the future in the best possible way through a solid education.
