Your Contribution

Even if the managemen of wajibu wetu aims at running the children’s home under their own steam, the project is, of course, dependent on external aid. For this purpose we have founded the association Wajibu Wetu – Partners for Kenya (registered society), because we have personally got to know the commitment and reliability of the managers of this home.

We are looking for supporters who feel compassion for the children in Kenya and who want to accompany the project wajibu wetu.

Would you like to become a member?

Your contribution of only 5 euros per month will help to permit the children’s home “wajibu wetu” to make long-term plans. We’re going to send you a circular regularly, to keep you informed about the progress and the current situation of the project.
Would you like to support our association “wajibu wetu” by your membership and a monthly donation?

If so, please send the filled-in and signed Flyer with Membership Application to our treasurer:

Where will the money go?

wajibu wetu – partners for Kenya (registered society) is a privately organized charitable association where no money is lost in a dubious administration. All income that the association receives from donations or membership fees is passed on to our Kenyan partners.

No matter in what way you want to help: we can guarantee, on account of our personal contacts, that your help will really arrive exactly at the place where it is needed.

There are many more possibilities of promoting our project: we have had occasion to observe that we should never underestimate the creativeness of our members and supporters – they keep surprising us with novel ideas of how you can help the kids in the wajibu wetu home. Perhaps one of the following actions will appeal to you:

  • Slide shows in kindergartens, schools, parishes or even privately
  • Sponsored runs in schools and parishes / church communities
  • “Vocabulary Olympics” in schools
  • Donation appeals in kindergartens (for St. Martin’s, Christmas, summer feast,…)
  • Bazaars, market stalls in schools and at Africa feasts
  • Christmas presents for wajibu wetu by companies and businesses
  • Street and summer festivals for the benefit of our project
  • Wajibu wetu – photo calendar
  • A visit to our home in the course of a holiday in Kenya, sweetening the children’s day with e.g. fresh fruit
  • Sponsoring an excursion of the home’s children
  • Birthday and wedding initiatives (donations for our project instead of presents)

Matias Ignatius from Denmark and Jesse Baltuis from Canada have got to know and love wajibu wetu and they support it, side by side with other projects, by their donations portal “Help everyday”.
Many many thanks to them both on our behalf!

On behalf of the children of Kenya we ask for your support.
